The Slip And Tee Trend
18:14
T-Shirts over Slip dresses is one trend that this summer returned from the 90s and took over my instagram feed completely. But no complaints from me because I am just a little bit obsessed with it and excited to see that it looks like its carrying itself into Autumn/Winter collections also!
Personally, I adore this trend because I love how casual it is but still looks dressy at the same time and also it can be two outfits, wear the dress on its own without the tee, put on some heels and it's a super fancy outfit. With the Tee it is the perfect outfit if you're the kinda Gal who ends up on a full blown night out after a few casual drinks after work or college. (AKA me)
Dress - Zara €10 in the sale (Bargain)
T-shirt - Zara €4.95
Belt - Asos
Shoes - Office
A more casual approach to this look with my sliders!
Dress- H&M (these have gone to sale in h&m for like €7!!!)
T- Shirt - Zara
Shoes - Nike Sliders
Get The Look
Getting this look right now has never been easier, slip dresses are EVERYWHERE and some shops have even got the combination going so you don't even need to buy both a Tee and Slip! What is great about this Trend also as it can be carried into the colder season by just adding some tights and even a long sleeved top or polo neck when we get into the baltic days of Irish winter! (I dread this)
Here is some examples!

All above examples are from Asos!
As I mentioned above, some shops have decided to actually stitch the Tees to slips making it a whole, Zara being an example here (pictures above). Personally, I am not a massive fan of this as I like to be able to have more than just one outfit out of the slip by adding maybe a different color tee or not wearing it at all! But they are still nice all the same!
I have loved this trend so far all year, I am excited to see how it evolves from a summery trend to suit the colder weather!
