GRAINNEBINNS: Wrapping Up Festival Season 2016

Wrapping Up Festival Season 2016

23:50

An amazing festival season came to an end last Monday when I left my little tent in the field at Stradbally after a fab weekend at Electric Picnic. One thing I always love about Electric Picnic is the major variety of music because personally I am not a one genre kinda gal and like a bit of everything. My two favourite acts of the weekend were Noel Gallagher and Adam Beyer!
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best and it rained for the majority of the weekend but I never let that ruin my fun or my outfits, I brought an umbrella and managed to stay dry and still keep my outfits on fleek with no poncho! (Until my umbrella broke).

Here's What I Wore...

Day 1

Jumpsuit - ASOS €16
Badges - Penneys €5 (per packet I had 2)
Shoes - Creepers

This outfit was super comfy and cheap! The jumpsuit was from the Asos sale and my favourite thing is it can be worn as casual wear for college/work and looks super cute with a T- shirt underneath!

Day 2

Top - Zara €17.95
Leotard - AliExpress €10
Fishnet Tights - Penneys €4
Shoes - Creepers
Sunglasses - AliExpress €1.50

I adored this outfit so much even though it meant literally undressing every time I had to go to the toilet and taking about 5 hours everytime (exaggeration but I think for friends waiting it must have felt that way). Similar to the jumpsuit from day one I love that this top isn't just something to be worn once and thrown to the back of the wardrobe, it is amazing with jeans and a little black cami underneath!
P.S. That umbrella saved my life that day.

Day 3

Dress - Zara €9.99
Bomber Jacket (Around waist) - H&M €39.99
Shoes - Creepers

Sunday morning was much dryer than Saturday night but my shoes as you can see were already in absolute bits and my umbrella had been stood on by this stage but with the dry morning I thought all was ok until it started to rain again... So I decided to buy a new jumper...

... I eventually stopped caring what I looked like and bought some trousers too as a dress and rain was not the best combination!

Hair

Similarly to Life Festival my sister Rhianna who is amazing at french braids did 7 in my hair for me which lasted all weekend again which at a festival is honestly such a lifesaver! I put the the colour "Washed Up Mermaid" By bleach London into it to give it the blue colour!

Monday...

As you might expect, I was not looking too fresh by the Monday! Roll on next year!

I have to admit I feel a little emotional writing this knowing it will be a long winter before the next festival... Well camping festival anyways! Despite not going away like every other summer I have genuinely had a ball at all the festivals I went to this summer and to wrap up the festival blog posts I've decided to share some of my favourite moments/ Highs & Lows

The Sunburn at Life

I got a little sunburnt and it evolved into my whole face ballooning, at the time it was horrific but now I think it is so funny. I will never forget it and I'll forever bring suncream everywhere in future!

Losing my Phone at Barndance...

... And managing to get it back from someone who lives about 5 minutes away from me!

Born Slippy At Forbidden Fruit

Slightly Obsessed with Trainspotting so seeing Underworld and listening to them close the set with born slippy was a bit unreal!!!

My house at Body And Soul

The majority of my Body and Soul weekend was spent at this stage, its only small but has amazing vibes and provided shelter from the rain! I still miss that place!

The Gazebo collapsing at Electric Picnic

There was a massive effort made to keep it going... It worked!

AND... That's a wrap. Festival season 2016 you were amazing, Until next year (weeps)
