GOODBYE OCTOBER: What I'm Wearing & My Current Faves

19:48

October is gone and the countdown to Christmas is officially on! Some might say it's too early but working in retail literally forces the countdown on you. Not that I am complaining though, I just as per usual cannot believe how fast the year has gone/is going!
Overall October was actually quite a good month for me I feel, as one thing I focused on quite a bit was just overall self improvement and feeling better and more confident in myself. I really worked hard at making sure I was giving my body enough fuel to get through the long days of college/work as this was something I was not doing in the months before and I have noticed just such an overall improvement in myself. I have more energy to do the things I enjoy, I am happier and I am sure I'm a much more pleasant person to be around than I was before. In my last blog like this one, the Goodbye September blog, I spoke about feeling as though I had lost a lot of creative motivation and I was unsure why, I noticed this began to happen with college also, as well as simple things in life I normally enjoy. Now that I am in a better place I am starting to recognise there was definitely some kind of imbalances in my life when it came to things such as food, exercise, work, leisure time etc. and I guess one of my goals for the month was working on finding a way to achieve a balance and stay healthy and happy and I can actually say I've done a good job on it. Don't get me wrong I am absolutely EXHAUSTED at times, but I try to get the best rest I can on the days when I do.
From being well balanced in terms of the things I mentioned above like food exercise, work, sleep and leisure, a positive mindset and attitude just became quite natural again and the law of attraction worked it's magic! I am feeling super creatively inspired again and had some exciting things pop up in the last month or so.
I've been having so much fun updating my Autumn/Winter wardrobe and have put together some outfits that I really like!

My Current Faves...

Berets

First up and it featured on my last months current faves too but I am still obsessed, BERETS. I pretty much wear one everyday, I can't get enough of them. In my opinion they just make any outfit a little bit more exciting! I pick up most of mine on eBay or penneys!

Demonia Shoes

Not only am I OBSESSED with my new flatforms from demonia, I am obsessed with Demonia as a brand all together! I adore all of their shoes and definitely plan on adding more to my shoe wardrobe in the coming months as well as next years festival season! Not only are Demonia good quality, comfortable and affordable they also use Vegan leather YAY! A lot of Demonia stock can be found on Dollskill or alternatively on their own website!

Chain Chokers

Chain chokers are everywhere at the moment and I am so happy about it! I adore them and they make any outfit a little more stylish! I got mine from Fresh but you can get them pretty much anywhere even on eBay or amazon!

Latex/vinyl/Pvc

I am obsessed with latex at the moment as you can probably tell from my outfits! Any time I am online shopping lately I barely even scroll through the clothes anymore I just type latex into the search bar! I can't wait to add some more latex to my wardrobe, it is just way more exciting than wearing a pair of denim jeans!

The Power of now

So this fave isn't fashion related but it's a good one! I started reading this book about a month ago. I haven't even finished it yet but I love it. I quite enjoy reading it slowly too, not everyday just once or twice a week. I probably should read it more often though as my day goes so much smoother on the days I do read it as it gives you such a clear and positive mindset for the day!
This book was definitely one of the contributing factors which helped me beat my lack of motivation and I think it is just a really important read. Lately I feel as though all I hear my friends and people in college talk about is what the hell are we going to do next year? And sometimes I genuinely get really anxious about it, people in my year are applying for jobs/internships/graduate programmes and I am over here like I don't know what I want. Not knowing can cause serious panic for me because I feel like society has just trained us to be these perfect beings who go to school, then to college then get a job, a career and a family etc. But I think this book has helped me to just not freak out about next year, or even next week. I am literally just taking everything day by day at the moment and trusting the universe and you know what , everything seems to just fall into place. I am not saying I just sit back and do nothing but I am just working hard at college and the things I enjoy like this blog.

And I guess that wraps up my October! November is 100% going to be a busy month, with plenty of college work and the run up to christmas beginning. I guess my goals for the month are mainly to just remain in the good mindset I've been in lately as well as staying as healthy as I have been. I've been eating well and making it to the gym 1-3 times per week and not in an excessive or obsessive way. I just workout because it makes me feel good and helps me focus and my body just feels way healthier overall!
So goodbye October and Hello November
