GRAINNEBINNS: What I Wore Last Week #OOTD

What I Wore Last Week #OOTD

13:21

Last week was an extremely busy week for me as I took part in styling the DCU Fashion show, which was a tremendous success, so all of the hard work paid off! Due this I had very little time for anything else, including keeping my blog up to date but I did manage to catch a few snaps of some of my outfits and I really wanted to do an outfit post of some sort to show off my personal style a little and also to show off some of the fab new bits I added to my wardrobe this month!

So first off are these cigarette style trousers from Forever 21. I love cigarette trousers because they can be worn dressy or casual and these particular ones are super comfy. I am obsessed with this colour for SS16 also so at like €21.99 they were a steal.

Next thing I bought this month was this rain jacket from Zara. In Ireland we get so much rain no matter what the season yet for some reason I did not own a jacket with a hood, so when I saw this I couldn't resist, I love how it has the style of a Rains jacket (someone actually asked me if it was one) but instead of a heavy price of €150 or so mine was just €50!

So here is how I styled both of these new pieces, I wore them with a white and blue striped bloused which I bought in Zara last summer tucked into the cigarette pants with reebok classics which I bought on Depop for a bargain last year also. I wore the jacket over my shoulders and carried my white bag which is from urban outfitters, bought last year as well. That bag is such a little gem, it fits everything in and is irreversible so can be black leather when I need it to be and it was only €20 in the sale! I wore my Daniel wellington watch on my wrist and had my hair in a messy bun!

I bought this Plunge body suit on Boohoo for just €20 and I'm obsessed. I love anything plunge or deep V because I am really flat chested so it's one style I can actually pull off. One thing I prefer about buying body suits over dresses or playsuits is you can style them in so many different ways and get a few outfits out of one purchase!

I'd been telling myself for months I need to buy new boots for months but just couldn't seem to find a pair that I was mad about until I eventually came across these on Public Desire, I love all of the Dior style boots which are everywhere at the minute and love the different colour styles and all of the clear heel style boots but I personally needed something that I could wear to college and also wear when I wanted to be a little more dressy, so with these I got the perfect in between, I adore the pointed toe and the highish ankle and the heel is the perfect height, not too high or too low! These were a steal at just €42 and that was including shipping to Ireland!

Finally, here is how I styled these two pieces, I wore the body suit with some culottes which I bought in River Island about this time last year and I wore my pink Mac style coat over the shoulders which I bought on Asos back around September time reduced from like over €100 or something to just €69! Such a handy coat and I adore the dusty pink colour! I wore a black choker style scarf round the neck which I can't actually remember buying because I've had it so long and other accessories included a small Topshop necklace, some Topshop rings and, of course, my Daniel Wellington Watch!

So I'm going to end this post with some of the final things I bought this month which was some Lush products, I love Lush and, obviously, no animal testing is always a benefit. So I bought myself this toner (left of the pic), it's super refreshing to put on after taking makeup off or even before putting it on and I think coming into the summer month's this will be super important for me as I have combination skin so in warmer weather I get a very oily face and break out so this certainly helps, I think for this small bottle it was like €10.99. The next is the prince charming body wash which smells DIVINE! (centre) Finally is the Sympathy for the skin hand and body moisturiser. Since starting to use Lush moisturisers I probably wouldn't use any other one, this one is banana and coconut flavour, it smells delicious and leaves my skin soft all throughout the day, it's only like €16.99 and genuinely lasts for months!
