GRAINNEBINNS: My Festival Wishlist

My Festival Wishlist

17:56

So festival season is creeping around the corner rapidly and I am super excited about it, festival fashion is literally my favourite you can be who you want and wear what you want and nobody cares, you just do your own thing and live in a crazy little bubble of music, drinks, laughs, friends and colours for 3 days. On friday I went to my first festival of the year which was barndance festival which unfortunately was only a one day festival, however getting dressed up for it and seeing everyone's clothes got me super inspired for the upcoming festivals, so I decided to put together a little wish list of all of a few of the items i want to be seen in!

Clothes

All of the above pieces are from asos market place (a few boutiques), Nine Crows, Motel Rocks, Rat and Boa, Asos. A big thing here for me being irish is the rain coats, both of which are Nine crows, in Ireland even though our festivals are in the summer time theres nearly a 99% guarantee of rain and even if its just a light shower its still uncomfortable being wet and cold. These two are so perfect cos they will keep you warm and dry and still nice and colorful.

Accessories

Accessories are important everyday but at festivals even more so, accessories can totally transform a whole outfit, my favourite is always rings even if i do come home with half of the amount i left with! A big thing at festivals for the gals at least is hair accessories and hats, 3 days without a shower and no straightner or styling wands etc. (unless of course you pay to have it done there) can get pretty grim for the appearance of your hair, but luckily hats and other accessories such as headbands, bandanas and maybe a bottle of dry shampoo can save the day!
Here's me on day 3 of Electric Picnic last year, that hat saved my life, I promise!

Sunglasses

All of these sunglasses are from asos and are also at a pretty reasonable price too!

Shoes

All of these shoes are also from Asos, obviously though the top two pairs are Dr Martens which can pretty much be bought in any shoe store like office or Schuh. Dr Marten's are a personal fave of mine just because welly boots just don't really suit me and in Ireland similar to the rain jackets, you need something which will keep you warm and dry. Also whats great about Dr martens is no matter what colour, give them a wipe and pretty much all of the muck comes off and they are good as new!
What I Wore!

So to finish off here is what i wore to Barndance festival, I kept it pretty casual seeing as its still absolutely freezing here in ireland! I also threw a little violet colour bomb in my hair to add a little colour, it was from bleach london, i loved it so much I'm thinking of making it permanent!
